My work with the Children's Heart Foundation has been one of the most meaningful parts of my advocacy journey as a heart warrior mom. Over the past several years, I have had the honor of organizing the Washington, D.C. Children’s Heart Walk in 2023, 2024, and 2025—bringing together families, medical professionals, survivors, and supporters to raise critical funds and awareness for congenital heart disease research. Each year, the walk has grown not only in size, but in heart, serving as a powerful reminder that no family walks this journey alone.
Most recently, I was humbled to join the Board of Directors, allowing me to take an even deeper role in advancing the mission of CHF. In this role, I am committed to helping expand awareness, strengthen community engagement, and support research initiatives that improve outcomes for children and adults living with congenital heart disease. What began as a personal journey has become a lifelong mission to turn advocacy into action and help create a future where every heart warrior has the chance to thrive.
The Children's Heart Foundation is a leading organization dedicated to funding the most promising research to advance the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects, the most common birth defect in children. Their work is focused on improving outcomes and quality of life for the millions of children and adults living with congenital heart disease. Through research grants, awareness initiatives, and community partnerships, the foundation plays a vital role in driving medical breakthroughs and supporting families affected by CHD. For me, their mission is deeply personal, and I am proud to support their efforts to bring hope, progress, and life-saving innovation to heart warrior families everywhere.
If you want to support the Children's Heart Foundation, you can help make a lasting impact by donating, participating in local Heart Walks, or simply helping spread awareness for congenital heart disease and the families affected by it.
